When Devastatia is not doing roller derby or a roller derby function she is a full time mother of a 2.5 yr old boy named Wyatt. She has been married to Will Littlefield for 6 years and has been with him since she was 17 years old. They have been homeowners for a year and a half and have been running Silverback Custom Pavers & Stones, a cobblestone business for a year. She loves life and being active in it. She loves to workout, go hiking, biking and camping in the summer. Devastatia loves to hang out on her property with her son and husband, playing in the pool, playing badmitten and basking in the sun. She is a social person and loves to surround herself with high and low energy people, as long as they are good natured. She always trys to surround herself with laughter and good conversation. This is what Devastatia has to say about rollerderby, “To some roller derby may be just a way to get out aggression. It is that, but it is much more. To me roller derby is a full contact sport. One I train for every day to become a more skilled and stronger althete. I have to say I have my home life and responsibilties , but my life outside of derby really is still derby, because my friends are fellow rollergirls, We are constantly having a fundraiser, event, bout, practices. Family/Friends are one half of my life and Derby is the other half. Some parts are one in the same.” Devastatia is founding member of The Renegade Rollergirls and a vital part of the league. Â

Johnny Tsunami is a 28 year old Headhunter (she finds people at their jobs and offers them other, better jobs). She has 2 boys and is married. She has a BS from The University of Oregon in Sociology. Johnny grew up in Orange County. She loves her dogs Cash and Maisy, and is a huge Johnny Cash fan. Besides roller derby she enjoys camping, dirtbikes and the ocean. She’s a sucker for red lipstick, pumps, old records and the Shins. She joined the Renegade League in April of this year. She dove right into the league head first. She bought her skates right away and came to every practice. Her goal was to be skating on a team and in a game by May, which she accomplished. Johnny Tsunami skates as a Radar Lover and is also the treasurer and on the board of the Renegade Roller girls of Oregon. Stay tuned for more profiles!

I just want to extend a huge thank you to all of the new girls in our league! Your willingness, hardwork and dedication has been. You all have really come in and kicked some serious booty, not only with your skating skills, but with your dedication and follow through with all the hard work it takes to make this league great! With all of you this league is becoming stronger as well as Bigger, Better, Badder! Also at the request of Lance I am going to start doing profiles on the skaters here in this blog. That way the community gets to know us, not only by our skate name and hardcore ability on the track, but also as upstanding members of our community. I can’t wait to get started!Â

Slamburgalers is a game we played for awhile. Everytime we saw someone wearing a striped shirt we would punch each other and say “Hamburgaler” and you get a point. We played this until Suicide Jane had someone call a point off of her in Vegas for wearing a mesh, trucker hat. Some random people were walking past her and said “Billy Bob” she was all “Did you just call a point off of me”. haha, pretty funny!

This will be a really fun game! we have a couple skaters coming to skate with us from the Bay City Bombers and from Renegades AZ, OC and San Diego. It’s during Memorial Day weekend so plan your fun around our event. Come to Bend for camping or concerts but you HAVE to make sure you see this game. It’s our Grand Finale for the season. We are going to go off!!!

The Renegades are nearing the end of their season. Only 2 more bouts, then you’ll have to wait till September to watch more Renegade Roller Derby Action. But don’t stress it too much because the Renegades are planning lots of super fun events and activities for the summer. So keep your eyes open for events they will be planning! Who wants to do Punk Rock Karaoke again? How about a sexy car wash? Did you miss the pudding wrestling last year? We probably won’t do that one again…

RubyROX will be heading down to San Francisco with Mid Evil Thursday afternoon. They will be skating The Bay City Bombers banked track all day Friday and then RubyROX will skate with The Bombers Saturday night, April 19th against The Boston Red Devils. Hopefully this is the beginning of something great and the Bombers will invite Renegade skaters to skate with them more often!Â

This week the Renegades are on the front page of The Redmond Spokesman. They did a piece on 2 of our skaters who live in Redmond, Jack Em Up Jill and Arsenic Annie. They did a fabulous job and hit on everything that we could possibly want to get out there to the public and the photos and layout is very nice. Pick up a copy soon. It’s a weekly and will be on the stand for another 2 days. Â

Recently The Renegades went to AZ to film a segment for ESPN
Then there was a writeup in leadjammer.com
Lead Jammer Article Â
Â
Then today The Bulletin did a little story on us in the sports section!Â
Â
The ESPN segment will air in late spring. Stay tuned for more details.
Â
I think all this attention shows that the Renegade Rollergirls are athletes and we deserve to be acknowledged as such. We play a game that is hard core and different and should be respected. ESPN would not film a league that was full of cheese ball theatrics and fake fighting. They would film a league with heart and determination, that practices and trains hard to be amazing skaters and competitors while putting on a good show that the spectators don’t yawn at.
Â
Cheers to the Renegade Rollergirls of Oregon. Bringing some national attention to Bend, Oregon and the sport of Rollerderby!
