Giving Back to Our Community
The Renegade Rollergirls of Oregon was established in June of 2006. In only a few months we have successfully established ourselves as Bend's only non-profit roller derby league, and are working on being the hottest show in town, with our no holds barred play. We have created ourselves from a few gals with big dream of roller-skating, athletic competition, and making new friends along the way, to constructing a league consisting of:
- a board of directors
- 4 teams
- coaching staff
- a team medic
- production volunteers
In 2006 through monies earned at our events we have given a combined $900 in cash donations to American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club of Bend, and COBRA. We have organized a food drive for NeighborImpact In addition we have assisted Cascade Youth and Family Center, by fundraising $700 to provide Christmas gifts to youth involved with their LOFT program. We have held league fundraisers such as:

- carwashes
- bake sales
- family carnivals
- skate parties
We also participated in the Bend Christmas Parade.
In 2007, the Renegades will be raising money for the Central Oregon Humane Society and the Sara Fisher Breast Cancer Project along with volunteering as part of the United Way of Deschutes County's 11th Annual Day of Caring and participating in events around the community.
If you would like to suggest a non-profit organization, please send their mission statement and population served to us through our contact form. The organization needs to be a 501(c)3 non-profit and serve the Deschutes County area.
